The story on the card:
Freddy was one of 4,000 dogs rescued from Envigo, a horrific breeding facility. Sadly, Freddy’s trauma proved too challenging for his first family so they turned to Beagle Freedom Project for help. We immediately placed him into the care of an experienced foster, who sang him to sleep and carried him outside because he was too scared. Freddy was so frightened that he stayed in his crate, the only safe place he knew. After two months of patience and compassion, he wagged his tail for the very first time. Freddy was now ready for his forever family and instantly welcomed into his new loving home where, on the first night, he slept outside of his crate! Freddy is the reason we fight to end animal testing and is our 2022 Survivor of the Year.
